Free static codes

Codes you make with the free generator are yours. Use them for anything legal, commercially or not, with no credit needed. They contain their content directly, so they don’t depend on QR Hippo and won’t stop working if we do.

Designing and previewing codes is free and unlimited. Free downloads are limited to one a day per device; any paid plan removes the limit. Don’t try to get around the limit with scripts or automated tools.

Dynamic codes and hosted pages

A dynamic code points to a qrhippo.online address that redirects to the destination you set. Hosted pages live on qrhippo.online. Both depend on our service and on your plan:

• While your plan is active you can edit destinations and pages and see scan statistics.
• If your plan ends, editing and statistics stop. Codes keep redirecting to their last destination for 12 months, and hosted pages stay online for 30 days. After that, scans show a page saying the code has expired. Subscribe again to restore them.
• We don’t promise that any code will work forever. If we ever close the service, we’ll give paying customers at least 90 days’ notice.

What you can’t do

• Point codes at phishing, malware, scams, or anything illegal.
• Impersonate a person or business.
• Use codes or pages to send spam or harass anyone.
• Try to break, overload or get around the limits of the service.

We can suspend codes, pages or accounts that break these rules, and block destinations that put people at risk. Where it’s safe to, we’ll tell you why.

Payments and refunds

Subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel in Manage billing; you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for. The 30-day pass is a single payment and doesn’t renew. If something went wrong, email us within 14 days of a charge and we’ll sort it out, including a refund where it’s fair.

Your content

You own what you upload. You give us permission to store and show it so your pages work. You’re responsible for it, including menu prices and allergen information, which must be accurate.

Payment links

Payment link codes open a payment page you provide. QR Hippo doesn’t process those payments and isn’t part of the transaction.

Liability

We work hard to keep QR Hippo running, but we provide it as it is. Always test a code before printing it in quantity. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before a claim.
