What goes inside the code
An example, using sample details:
https://g.page/r/example/review
- Get the link from Google
- Sign in to Google Business Profile, choose Ask for reviews and copy the link it gives you. We never look up your business, so the link has to come from your own profile.
- Ask at the right moment
- Put the code where customers are pleased and have a minute: on the bill, a table card or the bag at collection. A code on the door gets walked past.
- Ask every customer fairly
- Invite everyone to leave a review rather than only the happy ones, and do not offer rewards in return. Google's review policies do not allow incentives.
Common questions
Where do I find my Google review link?
In Google Business Profile, open your business, choose Ask for reviews and copy the short link. It usually starts with g.page/r/. Paste it here exactly as copied.
What is a Place ID?
It is Google's code for your business listing, usually starting with ChIJ. Find it with Google's Place ID Finder and paste it here, and the code opens the write-a-review form for that place.
Can you find my business for me?
No. QR Hippo never looks anything up. You supply the review link or Place ID, and we turn exactly that into a code.
