Restaurant menu QR code
Diners scan the table card and your menu opens on their phone, with no app needed.
What is your QR code for?
Create a live menu
A hosted menu you can edit after printing. Needs an email and a paid plan. Linking to your own menu below stays free.
Make one in three steps
- Paste the link to your online menu page or PDF.
- Scan the preview on your own phone, using mobile data.
- Print table cards, window stickers and takeaway inserts.
What goes inside the code
An example, using sample details:
https://example.com/menu
- Keep paper menus available
- Some diners have flat batteries, poor eyesight or no smartphone. Keep a few printed menus behind the counter and offer them without fuss.
- Make the menu phone friendly
- A menu laid out for A3 print is hard to read on a phone. Large text, clear sections and prices next to each dish make ordering quicker.
- Put a line under the code
- Write "Scan for our menu" under the code, plus the table number if you take orders that way. People scan more readily when they know what they will get.
A menu you can edit any time
Pro ($4.99 a month) hosts your menu behind a dynamic code. Change dishes, prices and allergen notes whenever you need to, and the codes on the tables never need reprinting.
Common questions
What if my menu or prices change?
If the code links to a page you update, it keeps working. If it links to a PDF whose address changes, you need a new code. A hosted menu on Pro lets you edit dishes and prices without reprinting.
Do customers need an app?
No. iPhones and most Android phones scan QR codes with the built-in camera, and the menu opens in the browser.
Can I make one code per table?
Yes. Make a separate code for each table with a link such as example.com/menu?table=4, if your ordering system reads it. Static codes are free, so making a set costs nothing.
