Photo gallery QR code
Link a code to an album you already share, and guests can browse it on their phones.
What is your QR code for?
Make one in three steps
- Create a shared album or gallery page and copy its link.
- Check the album opens for someone who is not signed in.
- Paste the link, scan the preview, then download.
What goes inside the code
An example, using sample details:
https://example.com/gallery
- Weddings and parties
- Print the code on table cards or the order of service so guests can see the photos afterwards. Some shared albums also let guests add their own, which is worth switching on.
- Portfolios and shop windows
- Photographers, builders and makers can put a gallery code on a van, a business card or a window to show finished work without a printed brochure.
- Think about privacy
- Anyone who scans can see the album, and they can pass the link on. Leave out photos you would not want shared further, especially of children.
Hosted photo galleries
Pro ($4.99 a month) hosts your gallery behind a dynamic code. Add or remove photos after printing, and see how many times the code has been scanned.
Common questions
Can I upload photos to QR Hippo?
Not on the free generator, which links to an album you already have. A hosted gallery, where you upload photos to us and share them behind a dynamic code, is a Pro feature.
Which albums work?
Any gallery with a shareable web link: Google Photos shared albums, iCloud shared links, Flickr, Dropbox or a page on your own website. If it opens in a browser without signing in, it will work.
Can I add photos after printing?
Yes, as long as you add them to the same album, because the link does not change. The code only stores the address, never the photos themselves.
